The project was to design Metropolitan Community College - Penn Valley's 2022 Multicultural Cookbook. Recipes were submitted from multiple individuals from the MCC community.
Illustrations were drawn by hand and then painted digitally. Texture and color were highly focused on as I completed each food item, as it is vital for the illustrated food to still be appetizing and appealing to the viewer.
The layout is simple and easy to follow, with consideration put into place regarding the likelihood that the reader will have to look back and forth from the book to the dish they are preparing. The instructions are easy to read and find, and the illustrations are kept unobtrusive. Each section of the book has its own accent color taken from the intro spread for each section.
