This is an infographic designed to bring awareness to issues plaguing the Native American community. Indigenous women are missing, murdered, and face violence at very high rates compared to the rest of the United States.
For the sake of readability and impact, I kept with a simple, high-contrast color scheme and single typeface. Actual Native American symbolism was researched and integrated within the design and was used to convey information as alternatives to traditional data display and graphing methodology. A banner motif was also created to divide up sections of information and evoke the sense of a tapestry becoming unfurled and unraveled.
